Today was the first day of our brand new Experimental Physics course. We're starting the semester off with an introduction to electronics. We started this off by using the logochips and
setting up a breadboard like we did in the engineering course.
After we set up the logochip and had everything nicely connected to the computer, we ran some simple programs that included controlling the color and brightness of an LED light connected to the output of the logochip.
We also wrote simple programs using a phtotcell that was connected to the input of the logochip. With this system, it was straight forward to create a conditional statement to ask the LED to flash whenever we cast a shadow on the photocell.
